Terms & Conditions

By using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions of sale, the Privacy & Cookie Policy and such other policies we may notify you of from time to time, which together constitute the entire agreement between yourself, and The Lake District Hamper Company Ltd. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights, either as a customer or otherwise.

The Terms & Conditions of Sale govern the sale of goods by us, The Lake District Hamper Company Ltd, to you, the customer.

Orders

We will confirm receipt and acceptance of your order by sending you an email summarising the details of your order – this is the point at which we accept your order and the contract is formed. If we cannot accept your order, we will notify you. If payment has been made on an order that we are unable to fulfil we will refund payment by the same method as the payment made.

Age Restrictions

Some of the products available for sale on our website (such as alcohol) are age-restricted and must not be purchased by individuals below the legally required age to purchase such products. Information on whether a product is age-restricted is available on the product page. Age verification declarations are in place on entry to the website and at checkout. An age verification check will also be performed at the handover of the product by our courier partner. Where the delivery cannot be signed for by a person over the age of 18 or where the delivery driver is not satisfied that the person has been able to provide acceptable proof of age identification then the handover of products will not be made.

Substitutions

From time to time, we may substitute an item of equal or greater value than the original item listed, or issue a refund for that particular product. Where we have substituted an item, you may elect to receive a refund rather than accepting the substitute item upon notification of the substitute taking place.

Payments

Products are displayed with prices in GBP Sterling at the time of your order. Prices displayed in brochures and on the website include Value Added Tax where applicable, which is applied at the current rate.

All payments for goods must be made when the order is placed. We cannot accept cash, cheques or telephone orders.

Delivery

Orders will usually be dispatched within 2 working days from the date of order. Our standard delivery is via a next working day service. Parcels will require a signature on delivery. If you are unable to accept a parcel, please provide an alternative delivery address on order or details of where a parcel can safely be left. By providing a safe place for your parcel to be left, you accept full responsibility for the item once delivered to the specified place.

Cancellations

Once confirmed it may not be possible to prevent an order from dispatch. We will aim to process cancelled orders if possible, but will require notification of a cancelled order by no later than close of business on the day the order was made. If the order is made outside business hours then we will need notification by no later than close of business on the following working day. We cannot guarantee that a cancellation will be successful as once the order is sent for dispatch, we are unable to stop delivery or cancel the order. In the event that orders cannot be stopped or cancelled, subject to these Terms & Conditions, you may return the items to us. Data Protection

The Lake District Hamper Company Ltd does not release any information regarding customers. Any information pertaining to customers is treated with the utmost confidentiality.
